The important thing is to keep accurate records.

The good thing about making a spreadsheet from scratch is that you can customize it to fit your needs. You're going to want to list all of your websites or blogs, their addresses, user names and passwords and then you will want to include your marketing information. Each affiliate program you have signed up with will provide you with stats that you can easily transfer to your spreadsheet. You will want to list the name of the affiliate program, the products you promote, number of sales, rate of commission, and the money you have earned. You may also include other categories that are important to you.
Do yourself a favor and set up your tracking system for your niche marketing business from the outset. While you may know that you made $100 in one week, it is crucial that you know how you earned that money. You want to know which products are selling and which ones aren't.
